Micro RRC client trial no receive audio

<< < (2/2)

w5rhr:
Thank you Mitch, for the tips

there is only one sound card in the PC
I can immediately switch to other programs and hear audio so I can confirm settings are good
the one and only sound card is selected in the micro client

lastly, this issue shows up on several other pcs and laptops at home and at work

I am NOT running the control end so I am assuming I did not need to have that end turned on

dj0qn:
I am not 100% sure what you mean by "running the control end". I think you mean having the
control RRC connected. Since you can't use both simultaneously, that would be correct if that is
what you mean.

Then I am at a loss to further help you out. Mike in Sweden should take this over. As an alternative,
I can take a look from here in Florida using Teamviewer. Maybe I can figure it out quickly. If you want
to do that, drop me a mail at dj0qn (at) darc.de.

I found the answer in another topic where it was stated the control head had to be attached to the radio for the micro client to function. Yaesu FT 857

I was trying it separated with RRCs at both ends, however I am at a loss to see how the remote RRC will attach to the radio with the contro lhead in place
UNLESS one uses HRD to control the whole radio.

dj0qn:
I remember reading that now, but forgot about that strange 857 limitation. I suppose what this
means is that this is either using an RRC and separate control panel, or using the RRC Micro PC Client
and leaving the control panel attached to the radio. All others I know of work where you can do both,
too bad about the 857.

Thanks for teaching me something new.

Hi

It's only TS-480 and IC-7100 which is designed to be controlled via CAT without the front panel  attached.
