New installation of RC 1258 MK2 Help Needed
NM5M:
I am looking for help from the group. I recently purchased the Remote Rig 1258 MK2 and am "remoting" a Yaesu FT857D. I was able to successfully operate the FT857D from my LAN to confirm that the jumpers have been set properly and the initial IP settings were correct.
The control and radio ISP provider are Spectrum. I have configured port forwarding on both ends, both ports 13000-13002 and 80.
Can someone help me troubleshoot why I cannot connect using the FT 857D to the remote end? I have Teamviewer running on a pc connected to the radio end of the remote rig so settings may be changed from my QTH.
My email address is nm5meric@gmail.com

Can you browse the radio-RRC over the Internet ? if not the portforwarding is not done correct or the ISP uses CGN
The most common problem is that the user forget to change SIP contact from the LAN IP when testing to the own hostname moving to Internet
also check the status page in both units often the DNS-IP is set wrong so DNS and DDNS is not working

Thank you for your reply. I am able to retrieve information when i am connected to the control side and I hit the radio settings selection on my microbit webpage
Does that mean I am connecting to the radio?
Sorry for such simple questions, I think I am close to getting this working. I am not certain that I have the DynDNS working right
Thank you again for your assistance,
Eric NM5M
dj0qn:
Eric,
Look at the status pages on the RRC's. That will tell you if the connection is working.
