RRC1258 - How to use the I/O connector
« on: 2011-02-12, 20:18:55 »
I'd like to know how to use the I/O connectors and just few examples of electronic circuits to transfer some I/O signals between the 2 RRC.
e.g. if I switch on a contact on the RRC-control, how to activate e relay on the RRC-Radio, or how to get a relay or led on on the RRC-Control, activated by a status signal on the RRC-Radio. Which supply should I use? I suppose the 8V on the connector are non enough to use relays...
Idas about which other ways could I use these I/O signals (apart from keyers, CW pads, etc.).
could be this one a replacement of the webswitch?
I really appreciate.
thx in advance.

A while ago the forum's attachments somehow got corrupted. I was unable to restore them. So the only way of fixing it is for the author of them to upload them again. Sorry about that.
Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.

thx a lot now it's more clear.
I imagine that the resistance 1K2 means 1K ohm, and if I need just to use a led, I can just connect it in the same way as for the diode within yhe 4n35.
while, if I need a led together with the relay, I'll connect it (clearly with 1K ohm resistance) btw the +12 and the collector of the 4n35.
Am I correct?
regards.

1k2 means 1k2 = 1200 Ohm and not 1000 Ohm
the rest is ok
