Title: Audio transfer rate
Post by: acroplt on 2012-08-04, 01:52:25
Have everything set up and working well from the remote location. Rig FTDX9000D and remote end I am using a laptop with HRD and DM780. My favorite mode is PSK31 and occasionally have an issue with s slight skip in the audio data when listening to the audio. The slight skips in audio of course cause loss of data and makes copy sometimes difficult. May get a 100 ms pause every 2 to 10 seconds. I realize this could just be an internet traffic issue. Have good high speed service on both ends. Just checking to make sure there are not some tweaks that can be made to the 1258's to help with this or something else I may be missing.
Thanks for any help

You can increase the audio buffers to get higher tolerance against dropouts. See manual. To me 100ms long dropouts so often is not normal for a good internet connection if nobody else is using it at the same time. One idea can be to test with an other router.
