G'day,
I lost the connection to the radio site sometime yesterday. After pondering a while, I found that the remoterig DNS had not upadated my radio side IP. I edited it manually and it started to work. The update has been working ok until now, but the latest IP-renewal completely failed (luckily it does not happen that often . Is there a reason for that and is there something that may be wrong in my setup and I should pay attention to ?

Hi
What does the status page says about ddns ?. The RRC checks the IP every 10 minute or whatever you have setup, and if there is a missmatch it update the ddns system. So it just not fails one time, it has no no contact with the ddns system. Check that you have set DNS IP to 8.8.8.8 as DNS relay is sometimes a problem in routers

The DNS was set to DNS relay (192.168.1.1) . I Changed it to the google DNS. Let's see what it does on the next update. I was first thinking that its my China site that is causing troubles but this time at the home router maybe. I think I need to see those a bit further.

On the Control site
DNS status "OK, ......remoterig.com = 39.xx.xx.xx (the old lease)"
When I checked the ddns status at (https://www.remoterig.com/wp/?page_id=1481) it was the 39.xx.xx.xx, updated last time August 16 2023.
On the radio site
External IP 87.93.142.xx (the correct one)
Dynamic DNS status OK
DNS Status OK, remoterig.com = 86.107.103.218
I then updated the DDNS IP manually to IP 87.93.142.xx all started to work. before all this I had already rebooted both ends with no luck.
