Title: Extra dit in CW local audio
Post by: ea3in on 2010-12-04, 07:57:09
I always get an extra short dit in the local audio.

The effect is that if I send I  di-di    I hear di-di and then a short di.

I have checked on a second receiver what is really transmitted and it is ok, only di-di is sent.

Any idea?

I have the v1 RRC

Hi

Maybe the extra dit is comming from the radio, try to switch of the side tone in the radio.

it's also possible to set the "lf delay" which mute the incomming lf from the radio for a while after each character, see manual.

Thanks Mike

You're rigth. the extra dit comes from the radio since it doesn't appear if the radio is off.

TX MON = OFF didn't help.

lf delay=500ms mask the effect, so it seems to work for me

Thanks again
