Configuration, RRC 1258 / Re: FT-450D with RemoteRig

Update:
I was finally able to get the RemoteRig to work with the FT-450D. One of our problems was the cable with female connectors at both ends was in fact a crossover (null-modem) cable. We took off one end, rewired it and started making progress. The setup had to be slightly different than the generic Yaesu setup in the RR manual.
1) the Radio Settings had one difference, besides the baud rate: the stop bits had to be set to 2, rather than 1. I found reference to this in a couple of places on the internet, but NOT in the 450D operators manual, the CAT programmers manual, nor the PCC-450D (Yaesu's control program) manual.
2) Under serial settings, Com 2 had to be set to "Logical Parallel to Com 0."
I still have some problems with my RemoteRig Control connecting with the Remote unit. I think this may be due to the long ping times due to the distance. I'm still playing with the audio settings to see if it will make any difference.
It was great to see it connect the first time. It's also neat hearing VK's on 40m at 10am German time (which of course is 3am in the US where the remote station is located)!
I hope this helps if someone else is having trouble making a Yaesu work with the RemoteRig.
