Title: 1216H at 4.2 Current Frequency
Post by: ik4ade on 2014-08-21, 05:09:42
Hi, I have dayted a web wwitch 1216H (that I no use as automatic switch antennas) at the software 4.2. At the top now is writen "Current Frequency:0 KHz". What is this? Is possible to erase? In this version after the click mouse the signs ON OFF are later.

Hi Franco,

"Current Frequency:0 KHz" is used when you are using the WS to control antennas based on the frequency of a connected radio. However, in that firmware version it is always visible so in order to make it more logical the text will be removed in the coming new firmware version 4.5 when antenna control not is used or their has not been any detected frequency.

What do you mean with "In this version after the click mouse the signs ON OFF are later."? Could it be that the visible change from ON to OFF and vice verse on the web page is slower than before? If so then it is because the way the web page is updated has been changed. It does not effect the time for the relays to go ON/OFF, that is as quick as before.

Thank you Jan. I would like to put two temperature sensors on bus a and on bus b. I have tested 5 sensors DS18B20 but only one works.
At this good sensor I have puted a longer cable (because for external temperature) and now also it no works.
Can you help again? tnx 73 Franco

That sounds strange. You are sure you have connected them like the picture at the bottom of this page:

Yes Jan, central wire to BUS and external wires to 0V.
I have another web switch with 2 sensors since 3 years and always works.

And both BUS A and B behave the same way? Which FW version does the other WS have?

Yes, at the begin the good sensor runed in bus a and in bus b. When I have this sensor with the wire longer also it no runs.
Sorry, the second question I have no understood.

With "Which FW version does the other WS have?" I meant to ask which software(firmware) version the other Webswitch has?

The webswitch with the temperature sensors running is dayted at 4.2.

So you have two Webswitches, both with software version 4.2, and one of them works ok with temperature sensors while the other does not?

What happens if you either try the temp sensors from the working Webswitch in the non-working, or the other way around? Since the Webswitches have the same software version the fault must be either in the Webswitch's hardware, the cabling, or the temp sensors themselves.

I think that the sensors are no good.
The good sensor works on bus a and on bus b.
Is possibile that 3 new sensors no work all 3?
Thank you, 73

The good sensors work on both Webswitches too, not only on bus A and B on one Webswitch? And all sensors are the same model?
