The downloaded file is:

http://www.remoterig.com/firmwares/RRC-1258-CRC_v2.32_2011-01-04.zip

The URl is

javascript:change_frames('update.htm','empty.htm')

I think I'm selecting application upgrade (as usual)

Can't upload formware 2.32
I get message: "Wrong file type, got 36, expected 35"
I have RCC's v1
Same behaviour in both the radio and control unit
I have downloaded the file twice.

Any idea?

I am using Old type-squeece keyer option with lf delay = 500 ms and it is quite ok. No extra dits.500 ms was the solution in my case.

I have v1 RRC

After the manual, I understand that I need to put an optocoupler in order to key the RRC from my PC through the i/O connector. Is it true?

How the CAT-Server mode applies to a V1 RRC?

Not sure wich COM port is the front panel COM port (COM1?)
And the rear one? COM0? I guess there is no COM2 in a v1 RRC

I am using the front Rs-232 port for the PC-Client? Can I use the rear one and release the front one for other devices?

Thanks

Thanks Mike

You're rigth. the extra dit comes from the radio since it doesn't appear if the radio is off.

TX MON = OFF didn't help.

lf delay=500ms mask the effect, so it seems to work for me

Thanks again

I always get an extra short dit in the local audio.

The effect is that if I send I  di-di    I hear di-di and then a short di.

I have checked on a second receiver what is really transmitted and it is ok, only di-di is sent.

Any idea?

I have the v1 RRC

I will appreciate a cabling diagram to show how to connect the steppir controller directly to the TS-480, keeping in mind that I have also the remote RRC connected to the TS-480 serial port to allow the remote PC client work.

Thanks in advance

Hi Daniel,

I use a remote desktop connection to control when needed the steppir via the N8LP software.

I prefer this on-demand prcedure, rather than making the steppir follw the radio all the time

I also loose access to the radio side RRC web console time to time.
A reboot is needed in order to get it back
SIp connection is ok

Hello

I'm still trying to make  Kenwood ARCP-480 software work with the PC-CLient through the remote com port emulation

HRD works ok, but no success with ARCP-480.

I like very much the way in wich you control the radio with ARCP-480.

I'm quite shure that it has something to do with the way it handles flow control or the connection command sequence and timming, but  I'm unable to find what happens.

Anyone has succeed?

Thanks
