Hi,
I have been happily using remoterig for two years now - mostly for DXing. Now I would like to run some contests too but the CW keying is an issue as I am using 3G network. Just ran 400+ QSOs in SAC phone remotely without any problems. CW keying seems to be more sensitive to jitter.
So this is actually a feature request. I would like to see a key delay of 500 ms in the future releases. As I am using 3G connection the jitter jumps occasionally over 250 ms causing irregular CW keying. If the delay could be set to 500ms it would help a lot. Any chance?

Yes CW is more sensitive to Jitter. But do you really mean that it would be possible to do CW contesting if you have set CW delay to 0.5 sec ? I think we decide that 255 ms would be far more than enough. Isn't it possible to get a 4G connection instead ?

4G would be nice but it is not available at the location for the next 5-10 years I believe.
I do agree that 500 ms is a long delay and would affect the rythm considerably but it is better than 5-10 seconds of CW full of mistakes. Another option that I would like to try is the Winky emulator - I just did not get it working. Please see another message that I posted under the configurations discussons yesterday.
