Title: Webswitch 1216H : relays living own live
Post by: PD1DL on 2014-05-03, 18:41:43
Hi there and maybe you can help me with this problem.

I am running a webswitch 1216H and sinds a while sometimes my relays switch automatically OFF/ON. Sometimes i do not have this problem for a week and then it`s back again. I have changed my login name and password several times to see if that makes a different.

Here a copy of the system info of my webswitch 1216H:

Company      : Microbit
Product         : 1216H WebSwitch
Model           : Standard 1216L-4 or older
Software       : 3.5
Hardware      : 1
Bootloader    : 1.9
Build            : Oct 31 2013 17:44:13
S/N              : 1668
PID              : 4
Uptime         : 0 Days, 0 Hours, 7 Mins, 39 Secs
===================================
MAC             : (i changed blank)
IP address    : 192.168.2.5
Netmask       : 255.255.255.0
Gateway       : 192.168.2.1
DNS             : 192.168.2.1
===================================
Max available memory = 17701 bytes
Sun state                       : Unknown
Last Dynamic DNS status: Inactive
Rotator status                : Initialized
Ping status (watchdog)   : OK [2 ms]
Active profile: Profile 4

This out of control switching is very unpleasant. I have my PC hanging on my webswitch and sometimes it dropped out because the relay is going OFF/ON without touching it !

Anyone knows this problem ?

Hi Dimitr,

Have you noticed if "Uptime" on the "System Info" page gets reset to zero when that happens? If so the WS might have been restarting.

Which relays are affected and what are you using them for?

Have you checked the settings "Relay X upstart state" also?

Oke we are now approx 20 days father in time after i report my issue/problem. Untill i wrote the issue on 3-5-2014 i noticed no errors anymore with the webswitch 1216H.

And this is what i find out. My Internet Service Provider (ISP) upgrade the internet speed for all there clients. That been a big operation and in the weeks i notice problems with the relay(s) start to do there own moves. My ISP made several disconnections in the internet connection for small moments for some weeks.

So my ISP where responseble for the errors.

Thanks Jan for the fast reply.
