I need help.
Can the   Remoterig 1258MkIIs FT-857 kit from http://shop.microbit.se/webshop/catalog/index.php?cPath=21   work with FT-897D ?

yes
 but as you cannot remove the frontpanel you must control the FT-897 from a PC-program like HamRadioDeLuxe, but you can use the same set if you later want to use FT-857.
