Title: configuration of my control RRC to access my remote RRC using dynamic DNS
Post by: ae3t on 2014-10-17, 12:37:40
I have just configured dynamic DNS on my remote RRC, and set up a profile on my control RRC to connect to my remote K3 over the internet. My question is on my control unit profile, where do I enter the dynamic DNS host name, user name and password?

Howard,

You enter the dynamic DNS address as the SIP Contact in the control RRC. No further data is needed, all the control RRC needs
is to know where to find the radio RRC, which is this address.

If you have any further basic networking questions to set this up, drop me a short mail at dj0qn (at) darc.de and I will send
you my networking checklist to walk you through this process.

Mitch,

Is my dynamic DNS adr the xxxxxxx.dns.remoterig.com, and where in the set up page do I enter the sipcontact? I dont see a space for that info on the remote unit web page?

Thanks,
Howard

Howard,

The SIP contact field is under the control RRC's "radio settings" menu.

Again, I will be happy to send you my checklist if you drop me a short mail that I can reply to.
