Title: PC Client connect but do not work
Post by: IZ3ENH on 2010-08-17, 22:49:58
Hi from Italy.
Just received the PC Client and I try to install on my portable.
All ok, also the connection showing "connected to sip:xxxx" and the led ok (left gray and right orange).
But...... no audio in and no ptt/audio out and also the HRD do not connect the radio.
I see, connecting the remote RRC via browser, that on "Status" the "Audio Out Port" is set to 0 (zero); normally when I connect with the RRC is set with the same number of audio in port, that I use 11060.
I use an ICOM IC706MKIIG, that works very well with RRCs, with the configuration "Radio settings" --> program mode --> 2-IC706 .
On the PC Client do not exist IC706 but only 2-ICOM CI-V and I use this setting.
I this something is wrong..... I also tryed ICOM CI-V on both ends, but nothing.
Thansk for help,
Stefano

Hi,
iīve tried the rrc pc-client on three pc - 2 time XP 32 Bit - one with Windows 7 32 Bit and one with Windows 7 64 Bit
All installations the same issue. Connect OK, no audio in and out. on both types RRC speaker and PC soundcard.

The same in all versions of RRC.

I use it on local network then WLAN to WLAN and local network.

Hi first IC-706

When using a IC-706 with PC-Client you can count on the IC-706 as a standard ICOM rig. You must use CI-V interface cables etc.
And the frontpanel must be connected direct to the radio body.

We have tried to find a way to fool the IC-706 that the front panel is there, but without luck so far.

With TS-480 this works perfect, you can alternate between the PC-Client and controlpanel without changing any settings.

But remember that uou must set Audio quality to 0 Alaw 8kHz in the RRC to get audio out of the PC-client I guess that whats wrong for you
