Title: Using Com ports with the radio Off

I currently have a com port set up and working with no issues - but ONLY when the radio (IC-7100) is connected. My question - is  there a way to get the current com port to work through the remote rig boxes without turning on the radio first?

No

There is no connection between the boxes in the disconnected state

Thank you for the quick reply! I assumed as much but thought I would check.
Are you aware of any companies that make RS-232 extender for over the internet? I can find lots that do it over CAT 5 or local network but none over the internet.
