From an old post:
Yes RRC1258MkII ver 7 can be used to remote the FT-100, but I have not had time to update the manual yet. It may take some time as Im on vacation now.

I have an RRC1258MkII Ver 5. Can I use that with the FT-100 if I do the FT-857 hardware mods?
Tnx,

Thanks Mike.

I am having a hard time understanding why the power on/off switch (FT-100 Front Panel and Radio Pin#4) connects to ground on both ends (TTL connector Pin#1)? How can this cause the RRC's to connect?
Thanks

I have not have time to check your email. There can be errors in the drawings, but no one have told me before.
I hope I will have time tomorrow

Mike,
Yes, there is an error in the drawings.
On both FT-100 connectors Pin#4 should connect to TTL Pin#6 instead of Pin#1
Also on both units, Pin 1 of P5B (which is connected to TTL Pin#6) should have a jumper to "PWR SW" P5B Pin#9.
When those things are changed, the FT-100 seems to work very well.
Probably very few FT-100 users now, and of those, very few have the extender kit required.
I personally use several of these radios at remote locations, and I greatly appreciate your work on this radio.
Thanks again.

Ok
If you have verified it, I will change the drawings. I do not have a radio to test with I borrowed one. I might find my paper notes to compare with but Im not shure.
Thank you for the clarifications

I have made the changes that I described above, and now the radio is working well.

I just checked and my drawings are correct for RRC V7, but there need to be additional drawings for earlier versions where the FT-857 mods are done. In V7 TTL pin 1 can be released from GND by removing JMP5, then TTL pin 1 is only connected to P5A 9 which is jumpered to PWR SW on my drawings.
So I removed the text about using earlier versions until I have made more drawings.
