Hi,
Everything is working fine if I connect everything (remote and control RRC) to a router on the remote side.
Problem starts when trying to connect remotely via internet.
on the control side, I can access the webswitch and the radio RRC via http (port forwarding). I did put remote and local rrc both in DMZ on the router. If I turn on the radio RRC I hear a beep on the control panel, so they do see each other, but I can't turn on the radio.
On the control side status I see:
Name Value
Control panel ON
Radio ON
Connection status Faulty(See below)
SIP status Connected/transfering
Last SIP error None
RTP/UDP audio status Stalled(18)
UDP cmd status Error(0)
On the radio rrc I see following status:
Name Value
Radio ON
Connection status OK
SIP status Connected/transfering
Last SIP error None
RTP status Excellent(60)
UDP cmd status OK(44)
So it seems to be something on the control side? Any idea please?

- If you put the radio RRC in the DMZ, then you don't need port forwarding. Somethings doing both
causes problems (rare, but I have seen it happen)
- You don't need to put the control RRC in the DMZ or forward its ports, but this is not the cause of
your problem
- make sure you are using the dynamic DNS address or the correct external IP address in the SIP contact
and not the internal IP address
- make sure that SIP ALG is turned off in the router. Judging by your specific problem, this may be your issue.
- turn off any firewall on the router to see if this solves your problem. I had exactly that issue at this QTH I am
currently at now in Florida.

Hi Mitch,
Thanks very much for the reply. I finally got it working when I enabled port forwarding on the control side. very strange! Maybe because my ISP already provides a modem with build in router, and hence I actually have 2 routers one after the other at the control side.
Thanks for your help!
