Hi all,
I have an AlfaSpid Rot1Prog_USB controller for my RAK rotator. This one has an USB port and an RS-232 male (!) plug at the back. USB works fine when connected to a PC, never tried the RS-232 (due to lack of RS-232 ports). Not sure if this will work with the RS-232 Adapter 9PF 1216H.
Anyone tried this out already? Or do I have to use an USB2Serial adaptor?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply. That was the reason I asked for. The new USB AlfaSpid controller don't have two RS-232 plugs anymore, they have one USB plug (instead of the old female RS-232 plug) and a second 9P male plug (looks like an RS-232 as well).
The 1216S adapter has a male plug as well, so this will not work without a gender changer.
I meanwhile can confirm that the male plug on the Rot1Prog_USVB controller is an RS-232 port.
Will the RS-232 Adapter 9PF 1216H work as well? Are there any differences between the 1216S and 1216H adapter beside the gender of the plug?
Thanks,
