Title: No receive audio when using a network bridge on a Ausu notebook with 8.1
Post by: WA2TTP Steve on 2015-01-25, 04:01:46
Hello to the group.

When I operate remote I use my laptop with a network bridge set through windows to provide a link from the wifi to a lan connection for the 1558mkII. Using my toshiba laptops running windows 7 and Vista this works with any issues. I tried the same thing with the Ausu notebook running windows 8.1 and the network bridge. Using this computer the TS-480 will turn on and is functional in all respects except no receive audio comes through, transmit audio is fine. I figured maybe it was firewall issue so I went into the advanced firewall area and created new rules for Port 11000 udp and tcp both inbound and outbound. Still no good. I didn't have to do anything special to have it work with my other two laptops.

Any ideas?

Steve, what port are you using for SIP? If 5060, try using a different port. 5060 is often blocked for VoIP.

Hi Mitch,

I am using port 5060 for sip but I thought that port was just for security and hand shake etc not for audio in the remote rig. Easy enough to change for a test.

Thanks for the reply.
