Hi,
I have a problem with the connection.
Two or three connections are not a Problem.
After then a new connection is established but no sound and no frequency appears.
I need to reboot my smartphone.
Then everything is ok, but for two or three connections only. -> reboot smartphone
RRC 2.86

Would it be possible that I could test from here.
In such case send me a PM with the Nano settings needed to connect and which Nano client we are talking about (K, Y, I or E)
-
Same problem with the new version.
Only three connects are possible. then I need to reboot my smartphone.

Which client are you running. Kenwood, Elecraft, ICom or Yaesu ?
-
Kenwood (TS-2000)
-
I got a new version of the client, is that right ?
Sorry, still the same Problem
-
I can now repeat the problem. Slowly getting there ...
-
You can connect my client, if you want.
Sent you a @mail this morning.
-
Thanks a lot. Will connect tomorrow
-
No problem, good luck :)

Hi
Same problem here
I connect and Radio starts but after 2-3 seconds is disconnected, audio is still there.
After one more connect my phone has to be rebooted and so on.

There's an update since yesterday on Google Play.
Does it work better for you guys ?
-
Hi Roland,
I have already installed the updates this morning.
Made more than 10 connects/disconnects without a smartphone reboot.
Looks good :)
You did a great job. Thank you very much. I am appreciate that.

Great to hear that Uwe :D

I have almost the same problem after late updates, but even worst. I CANT connect anymore, even after reboots. The app indicate CONNECTED but no audio nor frequency indication. Also DISCONNECT works OK but nothing more.
Setup here is the same as long ago SONY XPERIA T3 and latest, installed yesterday, updates of NANO-S 2.0.2 and NANO-K 1.2.2.
Any advice, pse??
-
Further to above mentioned remarks, I have on my Radio RRC1258 S/W V2.83 installed at the moment.
Need I to install V2.86 to have the above latest NANO updates working??
There is no such instruction on RRC S/W update page...

A general advice is to always include what the RRC's connection status is when attempting to connect.

It should work with 2.83 too. 2.85 had a bug though. But it's always better to use the latest versions when trying to debug issues like this.

Updates made it work again
K3 twin + samsung tab 4 or samsung S4 both fine now.
Great job...Tnx

@SV1DH
What ist your Radio ?
Have you got a Kenwood TS-2000 ?
-
Have you updated you RRC Firmware to latest version?
-
KM all
Uwe, my remote radio is TS480.
Ronald, Im still using Radio RRC S/W V2.83; shall I update to V2.86 ANYWAY, pse??
I checked the CON/DISCON status of Radio RRC before and after connection tests and all responded OK, but still no audio/freq indications...

@SV1DH
2.83 should work. However it sure helps if latest version is installed when solving problems.
So I would recommend to install 2.86 and test again. If the problem remains, please send
me an email with the settings you are using so I can make a call to your RRC from here and
see what's going on.
-
Thank you, Costas,
I you have had a TS-2000, the newest radio firmware should be installed.
Just an idea.

It seems that the RS232 cable from TS480 to RRC Radio unit COM2 was loose.
After fixing it all looks working OK now.
Using here SONY XPERIA T3, NANO-K 1.22, NANO-S 2.02 and RRC1258 Radio unit s/w V2.86
Roland, tnx again for advice...

I was using my Nano today to do some testing at our remote site. The Nano was working, but it appears that an automatic update was done while I was at the site. Now the Nano will not work, will not connect to the site radio.
I don't remember setting this up for automatic updates. My Nextbook was off for a couple of weeks.
What do I do now?

I found the problem. When 2.0 AB loaded it did not copy the SIP Contact info properly from the previous version. The DDNS server domain name had an error in it.
It is now working, but the operational page does not stay put. Turning the frequency dial and volume control sometimes ends up swiping the screen back to the setup page. I'm still looking for a fix for this. This is my first Andriod device, so it may be operator error. The previous version of Nano did not do this. I'm using a Nextbook NX7000QC with Andriod Version 4.4.2

Place the finger on the tuning wheel and the drag it outward outside the wheel and then rotate. This way you wont swipe while tuning.
-
I will try that.
The App now always opens to the setup screen. This is different from the previous App. Is this normal?
-
Not really. That was an oversight in that release. Will be corrected in next.
