Title: Config for Easy Rotor Control

Hi everyone,

I am slowly rebuilding my remote station and I want to use my Easy Rotator Control (ERC) v4 with remoterig box.

The ERC works perfectly with a PC, but doesn't work with com 1 on the RRC box. Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong?

• I am using a null modem gender adapter to connect the ERC to the RRC com 1 as suggested in other threads on various forums.
  
• The RRC com 1 ports are configured to run at mode 3 character time out, 9k6 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit, parity off and no rts/cts or terminator
  
• The RRC virtual serial ports work just fine for CAT control on com 2 and for winkey, so I assume that com 1 is installed correctly
  
• I have tried the ERC set up software (it reports no ERC present), PST rotator and the ERC control software through the rrc. Clearly the last two were tested in hope rather than anticipation. All work FB on my laptop with the ERC connected directly.
  

So, what have I done wrong this time?

Hi

I don't think gender changer helps you need to cross pin 2 and 3, check com port pinning i the manual.
