Title: RRC dropping out frequently after working flawlessly for several days
Post by: KZ5D on 2016-03-09, 18:10:05
Using K-3/0 mini at control site with RRC1258 MkII. Good hi speed internet connection here and at remote site (home). Have the RRC 1258 MkII connected to K-3 at home. Audio drops out for a second or two and then returns. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Also noticing very short drop outs indicated by what sounds like a very short burst of static-similar to a loose connection.

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Long drops like that can't be done anything about in the RRC. They are probably caused by packet loss or by bandwidth limitations, someone in the family downloading huge files, webcam sending live video etc. In worst case the problem is caused by one of your ISPs which do not have enough bandwidth in their networks.

Mike,
All worked fine for the last 4 days. No dropouts. Today it is much different. Seems the IP at the remote site is having trouble. Hopefully that is the problem. Thank you for your input.
