Title: IC7100 no switching on
Post by: iz0tws on 2017-03-25, 09:40:33
The led on the RRC control switch on for a while and after off. No display is on.
I suppose that the issue is from the RRC radio side.
The debug show me this

New UDP CmdTxPort=13002
R-> Radio ON requested (2)
rtp enable [xx.xx.217.111/13001 xx.xx.217.111/13001]
R-> Connection established, radio ON, audioQuality=2
duplex: New Audiocoding 102 (8 KHz)
New radioctrlTxPort: 49567
New rcpTxPort: 59199
R-> Radio '8V off' from panel
R-> Sending '8V is off'
rtp disable

So why the Radio '8V off' from panel instead switchin it on?

OK, well no answer.
I studied a bit a forum. It can be the same error presented here   http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=1694.msg7182#msg7182 (http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=1694.msg7182#msg7182)

Anyway. does exist a command via telnet to force the RRC to consider the radio already on?

Check the red straps, both that they are in the right position and that they are not broken ( with an ohm meter).Iif the communication is not established the radio will switch off after a few 100 ms, that's what you see.

Checked and everything is fine. Also because if I start to switch on and off separately the power supply and the RRC radio in a certain order, it will start working.
Yesterday I changed the configuration and now I'm supplying both the radio and remoterig from the same powersource. So I switch on and off contemporary. It seems that in this way it works correctly. I'll post some feedback in a few time.

Just to confirm that after several days and several trials everything now works perfectly.
So to avoid any issue in case of remote power switch, you must swtch on and off both the radio and the rrc in the same time.
On the other hands the solution of splitting the power lines was to to the rfi issue that I still have in the system.
