This is my 3rd RRC-1258MkII with this issue.
USB power works just fine. I can see the device via COM1. I get this error:
"Running on USB power, skipping ethernet init."
The 12V power in the back is not being seen. Currently *two* units are not working. Both were unplugged for a few months and I just plugged them back in.
I tried pushing the reset button and resetting them that way and I still get the same problem.
12V source confirmed OK.
Any ideas on what I can check, or anything else to try? Seems odd that I have had this problem multiple times!
Would really like to be going for WPX CW this coming weekend...
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
That is indeed strange. I have seen dead power supplies, but never two of them at once. Resetting the RRC will
never make a difference, because this would be a hardware issue.
Did you try using a "real" 12v power supply? There is a cable included in the RRC box. This would then verify if
the problem is with the PS or RRC itself.

Yes, I have tried a real 12V supply and also the included wall warts.

Then I guess Mike will have to contact you about repair, or you should contact HRO if you
bought it from them.

if it does not work on 12V some of the protection components or the EMI-filter on the 12V input may be damaged. They will of course not be damaged in normal use but can be if overvoltage is applied to the unit
