Title: RRC-1258 MKII wifi connection to a Smartphone router SOLVED
Post by: IZ2MGN on 2020-11-01, 08:47:07
Hello,

I want to use my rrc 1258 mk2 with ic7100 front panel, using my smartphone a20 Samsung as router (all working fine with laptop and others).
This don’t work, there’s a possibility or not? The rrc with wifi from a router with 4G (using the Sim card of the smartphone) or with adsl fiber or normal works fine. I don’t understand why no connection with smartphones (I try also with iPhone, another Samsung without success).
When searching the wifi from smartphone the rrc find it, i make the right config, but then the rrc doesn’t connect to the smartphone. Suggestions?

Thank you

Hi

The most common reason for this problem is that the user assumes that the phone use the same LAN settings as the home router. If you set DHCP = Yes in The RRC it will adapt automatically to the Phone LAN settings

My wife and I both have Galaxy S21+ cellphones. The wifi scan sees her phone, but not mine.
