Title: Connect to Audio Stream with a SIP Client ?

Hello,

i am using a TS480 with Remote Rig (detached Frontpanel) and it works very well.
I wanted to know if it would be possible to connect to the Audio Stream of the Radio RRC directly with a SIP client, like X-lite or something like that...?
Because i want to control the radio with my Laptop and HRD and only want to receive...transmitting is not necessary.
I tried it with the Micro RRC Client Software but it seems like it won't work without the hardware and I don't wanted to set up a computer
that digitalizes the audio.

Hi John,

The short answer is NO.

The solution is to buy the PC Client dongle. It is very small, will give you a PTT button
and the virtual COM ports.
