Gday forum.

I would like to remotely control this radio.

Would there be anyone here who already has or possibly someone with the technical knowledge  on how to go about it.

A service manual for the Dual Bander KG-UV920P was sourced with the following connections.

Panel Diagram

1=AF
2=PTT
3=Key1
4=Ground
5=MIC
6=5V-SM
7=Key
8=Lamps

Mic/Speaker to panel diagram connection.

1=MIC
2=5V
3=Key4i
4=Lamp 5
5=AF
6=PTT
7=Ground
8=Key 3i

Schematic diagram available on request.

Is the FT 857 with the detachable head able to be used with remoterig in a similar fashion to the Kenwood radios,
or do you have to use the CAT connection.
