I have both  K3/0 mini and the K3 on the same network. So the 3 tone error on the K3/0  means that they are not connecting. Both units have a local IP and are linked to the same switch.  Is there any special consideration in the settings when the units are on the same network?
Thanks   Hugh EI9KF

I am still not able to make the connection.
Is it OK to leave out the serial cable link to the Radio?
On the SteppIr controller is it necessary to set the transceiver control to OFF or to STEPPIR (ie does this matter?)
I am using a Null Modem cable from the unit to the controller 5-5 2-3 3-2
Thanks for your help

I am using a SteppIr SDA 100 controller.
The setup instructions show a Serial Setup page where the baud rate, parity etc is selected .
My software version (4.16) says "no setttings available for this device" when I select Serial Settings.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a default for the baud rate?
Thanks
Hugh

Configuration, Webswitch 1216H / RC 1216H control problem
« on: 2015-04-29, 21:32:14 »
I have installed the latest firmware 4.16.
When I enter the web control screen, it only gives me options for Rotator control.
I need to use the device to control a Steppir Antenna
This option is not available to me.  Can anyone help?

Configuration, Webswitch 1216H / Accessing 1216h
« on: 2015-04-21, 23:14:07 »
Here is a pretty basic question.
I have set up my 1216h, given it port 8001 on the router. I have a fixed IP address.
How do I access the 1216 remotely?
What address do I enter into my browser to get in? This is not mentioned in the documentation.
Thanks

General / New setup with K3
« on: 2015-03-03, 19:46:00 »
I feel quite foolish ..but really cannot understand the instructions. "If you have a Elecraft  K3, KX3  or a K3 twin setup, connected via a CAT cable from COM2 " ..What does this mean? Do you mean the K3 should be connected to the COM2 socket on the RRC 1258 Control Unit (normally not in the shack) ? The remote Radio unit only has a COM1 plug on it.  My K3 is linked to COM2 on  my PC.   I there any chance that I could have a small join-up diagram? I am reallty quite confused.  Thanks for the help.
