An addition ... I tried the reset and that didn't make any difference.  So still no operation of the 7100 other then being able to turn it On & Off via the RemoteRig !!

THNAKS for the reply !!  I checked the firmware in both units and they are 2.78 which shows on the web site as being current.  I just purchased the units about 6 weeks ago.  I also opened both units and checked the straps/jumpers again for the third time to make sure they are installed properly.  I only had to change 3 of them when going from the 706 to the 7100 and I also did ohm them this time to make sure there was no broken ones.  When I had them open this time I did see there is a RES button on them ... should the unit be reset after I made these changes for the 7100   I did try operating the radio again and still only have the same ... I can only turn the unit ON & OFF .. I have no control or audio.

Think I posted this it the wrong place the first time......  I am having problems getting my 7100 to operate with 1258MkII and it has worked fine with my 706.  I changed the jumpers in both unit and have check 2 times to make sure they are correct and changed the baud rate from 19200 to 38400 and thought that was all I needed to do to get it to operate with the 7100.  The only thing I can do is turn the unit on and off .. I have no controls of any kind when unit is on !!!  Any idea as to what I have missed or done wrong ??  Thanks !!!!!!
