« on: 2016-01-06, 15:27:23 »
I have the remote rig setup and It is simply amazing I bought a second unit for another remote location. The question I have is I am trying to program the radio with KRS-480 from the control side I have read other threads about problems with HRD and the Kenwood software  but this is just programing the radio can this be done with the serial ports settings port 1 on the radio side is hooked up to the radio DB-9 ? Thanks again

So I have tested this on 2 separate local LAN's and remote I have the same problem every time i use the remote rigs.  Most all of the time the panel just gets stuck in the hello mode with no audio. If I unplug the Rj-11 and plug it back in the display and audio comes to life. I have bypassed the router and went to the cable modem no change. I also notice sometimes when I use the remote rig the decimal points are missing on the display. RR is set to mode 5. I can ping the far end with no loss both sides are on cable modems. The remote side has a straight cable RJ-11 to RJ-11 if I bypass the RR and use that cable the 480 display works just fine.  One think I notice is when I turn it on the AUX mic will come on steady red on the left and yellow on the right. after a reset the red goes out any ideas????

Do you have any idea why? I have tried everything and bypassed the router still no change i need to remove rJ-11 and plug it in to make the 480 head come alive.

So  sometimes when i turn on the control head it just shows hello and almost gets hung up.  If i unplug the RJ-11 and plug it back it it works fine any ideas? I have no problems with audio or connecting to the remote side. Thanks
