"The Tord"...

I have problems with distortion in SSB. Seams to be related to the input gain in some way, and not due to RF feed back (same problem is geard even with QRP). If I only activate the PTT without talking, a noise can be heard. It gets worse if activate the compressor (naturally)... If increasing the codec input gain on the control side, the problem is less.

Maybe I have to test to connect the MIC on the back of the K3 instead.

Any reports of settings of input gain/micgain etc, with K3/RRC/Heil HC6/HC5?

Have you forgot the door open to the freezer Jonas?
Here I normally have a indoor temperature around 20C.

Hi Mitch,

I don't understand what you mean?
Are there different ways of restarting the RRC than using the "Restart Device" in the web interface?

That is how I have restarted the RRC all the time as I described in my earlier posts.

In the case of our forgetful user (yes, he forgot the radio ON this morning as also), I change the SIP password on the RADIO RRC, and make a restart. I have no access to his control RRC.

When I change the SIP password, he will get disconnected, but I have still problems to control the radio.
To me it seams that the control ports are still trying to access from his RRC.
I cannot test if my ideas a true in my setup remotely. Need to monitor with wireshark.

A possible solution could be to swap the ports completely, or get access to his RRC to kick him out.

Another issue with sharing the radio between users seams to be that they tend to forget to disconnect before they go to work, and block for the other. We have a Skype shat with the users of the remote, to tell when we connect or disconnect. Unfortunately that does not help if the users leave home...

I have tried to kick the user out by changing the password on the RADIO RRC. After that it is possible to get the audio up without problems, but it looks like the control from our forgetful  ham is still interfering.

Question:
If the SIP password is changed and the RRC is restarted (on the radio side), will all the three ports used (SIP, Audio and Command) be disconnected?

We are using K3 Twin, but I currently run my RRC Control in mode 4 with HRD control. (serial MODE-7).
