General discussion forum / Remoterig 1258 stopped transmitting

Our remoterig suddenly stopped transmitting audio. PTT brings up the repeater but audio cannot be heard by receiving station. Same on simplex. Replugged all connectors and rebooted all. Receiver is fine.

I have a blinking power light.  I can read the unit and even updated the firmware via the USB cable but I can seem to access the unit via ehternet.

We want to use the remote rig to control a radio inside a large building using their existing CAT 5 cabling but NOT their network switches.  Do we still need to configure IP addresses?

Hardware, Cabling, Installations / Remote Rig on LAN

We need to install a radio in our county emergency operations center.  Our room is in the center of the building about 100 feet away from the antenna coax entrance.  We are prohibited from running coax to our radio room.  The building has a local area network so we are looking at the remote rig as a solution to our problem.  My only question is 'does the Romote Rig work on a LAN as well as over the Internet?'
