Hello

for many years I have a pair of RRC 1258 boxes workng with a K3/100 on the radio site and a K3/ mini on the control side, all working perfectly

The internet on the radio site, is from a link with Ubiquiti antennas from my home, so I am in the same network

NOW I change the ubiquiti link with a Starlink antenna, PERSONAL PLAN, at the radio site.

What type of routers or other hardware I need to have the remote working with the Starlink PERSONAL PLAN at the radio site and the local internet at home?

I have no idea of networks or VPN. But the locals guys that do these work donīt have idea of amateur radio, so what I need to tell him so he can figure out what hardware I need to buy or what he need to setup?

thanks in advance!!

Hello

after many years using RRC1258-MkII on the same network (with an internet link from my house to the remote site), now I will move to Starlink on the remote site.

My network use 192.168.0.x addresses, and my remoterig boxes use 192.168.0.169 and 192.168.0.170

My new network on the remote site, with Starlink and a router, use 192.168.10.x

So my question is how I need to setup the remoterig and routers to have remoterig working? With 192.168.0.x on the home and 192.168.10.x on the remote side

thanks in advance

hello

I change my remote internet provider with Movistar Amper 2000 4L router like this one https://www.robustel.com/en/product/r2000-vpn-gateway/

I do all the configuration but couldnīt find where to setup DDNS to access it from other network. Movistar support on my country didnnīt give a solution yet, so I want to know if someone can help me to tell me where to register my tplinkdns on this router

thanks in advance!

General discussion forum / TURN ON K3/0 Mini REMOTELY
« on: 2019-09-05, 23:05:27 »
HELLO

I want to know if itīs possible to turn on remotely, maybe through local remoterig box, the radio that I use for control side, Elecraft K3/0 Mini

I will travel, but I donīt want to carry my control side equipements (K3/0 Mini, remoterig, paddles, Mic), so thinking that if I can turn on my K3/0 Miini, I can do CW with N1MM+, using TeamViewer to access my control site laptop.

I donīt want to keep the radios ON for a week, so I need to turn on it anyway

thanks!

Hello

still trying to setup FT8 to work.

If anyone is using a pair of K3/100 radios, remoterig and a soundcard, and can help me, I appreciate it very much

I can receive on FT8, but couldn't transmit

So I need to know, what cables are you using from RRC control and soundcard, where are they connected, etc, etc, etc

thanks in advance!

Configuration, RRC 1258 / new setup 2 x K3/100 not working
« on: 2017-11-16, 17:01:37 »
Hello

I couldnt setup remoterig with two K3/100 radios, so right now, I bring both radios to my house and start over with the setup

I turn on control radio, then turn on remote radio, but nothing happen. I hear on the headpones a continue sound  like telephone sound, "u i u     u i u     u i u      u i u       u i u....................."

I am following this two manuals:

Elecraft Manual http://www.elecraft.com/manual/K3%20Remote%20Owner%27s%20Manual%20%20Rev%20D.pdf  and

Remoterig Manual http://www.remoterig.com/downloads/RemoteRig_RRC1258-MkII_Users_manual.pdf

I couldnt open remoterig boxes to check inside as per Remoterig manual page 213

I update firmware on two remoterig boxes

I go to the browser and access microbit to go to radio settings. Here some diferences with manuals and browser
      - SIP password, Elecraft manual say blank, Remoterig manual say hello
      - SIP contact may I left blank or not?
      - Audio quality, Elecraft manual say "3 - aLaw 12 kHz" and remoterig manual say "2 - Linear 16 bits 8 kHz, so which one is the correct?
       - Codec Out Gain Elecraft manual say 250 and Remoterig manual say 255
       - Codec Imp Gain Elecraft Manual say 32 and remoterig manual say 14
       - Codec inp preamp Elecraft manual say "163", Remoterig manual say "Yes"

router setup also is diferent in Elecraft and Remoterig manuals on applications name, but maybe this is not a problem

Any idea what is wrong?
