Sorry to bother once again, but I spent hours on it, and still not able to understand how I can achieve this.

RemoteRig :
You will notice I've used the same configuration on both the controller AND the remote to use the Mode 6, with option "Use USB Com Port as COM1".
The Remote is connected with a RS232 cable, from the front panel (COM1) to the SPE-Expert.

Computer :
Directly connected using the USB to the Controller. No other USB connections.

Windows :

As you will notice on my screenshot, I have with RemoteRig connected, 4 possible ports.
For example let's say, I try to use RRC1258 COM2 (COM2) (I changed it manually to match to COM2)

I don't really know which one is managed using the USB cable : all of them ?
I've tried to configure the SPE-Expert software with COM2, but it really don't work (of course it works with a regular USB-RS232 connected directly between computer and SPE-Expert).

Did I made something wrong ?

Please any help would be appreciate...

Thanks thanks by advance

Cédric

I wonder If I configured something bad : The remote stations display exactly What I selected on the Controller station.

But If someone change anything on the Remoted station, can't I have the feed back on the Controller ? Someone for exemple changed the Split on the "Remoted Station". For now I don't have the information on the Controller anything changed.

Is it only working One way ?

Hi again,

I enjoying using the RemoteRig. Until now, I was used to send with a TinyRig some CW and RTTY on my FT2000.

Is there anyway to send audio from a TinyRig or DIRECTLY from the Audio-Output of my Soundcard using the USB cable or the may be the PAd connection for the CW & the TinyRig ?

Thanks for your advices,

Cédric

Hi there, trying to find a similar problem on the forum, but not yet found.

I've tryed to configure with the RRC-1258MkIIs Yaesu Twin for a FT450D as a RCC for a FT2000

It worked like a charm, to change frequency, switch to Split, and other few things, but I didn't success to use the TX on the Control-RCC.

I've tried to connect on the Control-RCC :
- The FT2000's microphone using the cable adaptator (the one provided in the original package)
- The FT450D's microphone without using any adaptator (same connector as the one on the Control-RCC)
- To use the Digital Voice Player included in the FT450 to force the TX to switch on TX

Until know, I've never been able to see the FT2000 nor the FT450D to switch on TX with any microphone.

I read the manual again, and the only thing I'm worried about is the Red LED remains OFF, despite the Yellow (Orange) One remain ON.

Did I made something wrong ? Do I need to configure something else ?

Thanks a lot for your help...

General discussion forum / Yaesu Twin + Control SPE-Expert
« on: 2012-09-11, 10:20:15 »
I ordered few days ago the Yaesu Twin Concept. It will fit my needs for the beginning.

But I would like to improve few things, and was wondering if could it be possible :
- Can I use one of the RRC1258 from the Yaesu Twin to use some days the RRC-Micro PC-Client
- I need to turn on/off my SPE-Expert remotly. Can I do it while using the Yaesu Twin Concept to add the control from my computer to control COM1 ?

thanks for your help and sorry if questions already answered, search engine didn't help me.

Hi there,

I wish to get this awesome Remote Rig for specific usage. I read the manual, and I was wondering if it could be possible to get control of the FT-2000 from a FT450 ? Any chance it could work (not for dual reception of course). Any feedback on this ?

Thanks by advance

Cédric
