Configuration, RRC 1258 / What is a SIP?

getting ready to take the next step, hopefully programming via the web interface....since we will be using 2 pairs of 1258, and 2 IC-7100, should the programming values for pair 1 be different than pair 2? Or is the face we are using 2 different IP address combos enough?

we have 2 late model IC-7100, we bought the additional 1258M boards.....so does that support the green and yellow wire as shown on page 108 of the manual? And should we follow page 108 for the 7100 or page 102 for the Icom CI-V as they contradict one another....

so only one cable is supplied with the remote rig unit, does it matter if that one is used on the control unit or the radio unit? Will the factory supplied cable work on one of the ends? If not, what are people using for the second cable?

Configuration, RRC 1258 / remote rig on 10.10.10 network

trying to configure two remote rigs to control two IC-7100 at our 911 center...downloaded and installed the setup software, configured the first pair to use 10.10.10.8 and 10.10.10.18....that went very well....now the the step says to try to connect to them from a web browser, by using the IP address....when I type 10.10.10.8 in the google chrome, it comes back as not being connected to the internet....which it isnt, I know that, its just on its own internal network....so....assuming I set these up correctly using the setup software, what should the next step be to see if its working?

General discussion forum / IC7100 daughter board?

Getting ready to equipm our new EOC/911 center with a new setup, that requires no RF in the actual center, the radios will be stationed in an equipment room at the base of the tower, the consultants doing the ham equipment have worked with remote rig in the past, but not with a IC-7100....I understand the 7100 will work with the control head in one location and the radio out in the equipment room, but that an add on board needs installed if using an IC-7100....can someone explain this further please?

General discussion forum / System fusion/Yaesu twin?

Will the Yaesu twin concept work with the FT400DMR, I understand I'd need 2 radios, correct? I dont believe it would work in the "conventional" mode, with the panel removed, something about it being a unique, maybe proprietary baud rate and data?
