General discussion forum / Need help for Rotator control
« on: 2012-11-27, 20:05:49 »
Hi there,

I just installed the RS-232 cable for rotator control into my Webswitch 1216H (Firmware version 2.10). I want to control a rotator using DCU-1 protocol.. Now I want to setup and use the rotator but it's not showing up on the web interface.. Looking at the manual there should be "Rotator" in the bar on the left below "Temperature" but "Temperature" is the last item..

How do I enable the rotator control (via RS-232)?? In the PDF manual for the RC1216H (which should be the same) it is written that you activate the rotator in the "Advanced settings" using "Function type" - but there is no function type for rotators and the page looks completely different than in the manual..

What do I miss??

Thanks for any help!

Hardware, Cabling, Installations / AUX/MIC cable TS-480
« on: 2011-01-27, 09:16:45 »
Hi,

just a short question. Am I right that I can use a ready made RJ45 CAT5 cable to connect the TS-480 with the AUX/MIC connector on the RRC? Does it have the shield on the right pin??

Thanks and 73 de Mario, DL3LSM

Hi there,

I know there are some members here who operate their K3s remotely. As this is is my goal too I'd like to ask some questions.

I'm testing at the moment using my K2 (as it is available to me right now, the K3 is far away). TX and RX audio and PTT are working but I cannot control the radio using TRX-Manager (it works if I connect TRX-Manager directly).

Serial cables are connected to COM2 on the RRC boxes - both straight standard cables.

My setup:

Radio settings: as described in the manual except using 4800 baud and 2 stop bits for the K2 (for the K3 this would be 38400 baud instead).

Serial settings (COM2): Mode-4; 4800 / 8-N-2

Any idea what I'm missing??

Thank you very much!
