It's been 6 years since his request and no replies.
I'm interested as well, does anyone have info on interfacing this radio to RemoteRig?

Just a thought, perhaps your 12v supply cannot supply enough current for the RRC and the 8900 front panel.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Web Page User/PSW
« on: 2016-10-31, 19:32:53 »
I set up a web page password but did not enter a user name.
Now when I attempt to access, it asks for a username and password.

Since I did not provide a username when I set it up, I leave the username blank and enter the PSW, but it does not accept it.
The manual says that the default username is "empty" so I tried entering "empty" for the username and entered the PSW that I set up.  That doesn't work either.

Any suggestions other than Factory Reset?

Thank you Juho!

It seems that your technique, to hold PTT down then press METER instead of holding METER while pressing PTT, is the correct one.  I'll pass that along to Leo at Kenwood.

General discussion forum / TS-2000/RC-2000 Meter selection
« on: 2015-01-06, 02:17:39 »
Has anyone been able to switch the RC-2000 meter from Pwr to ALC or SWR via the RC-2000 and RemoteRig?  The instructions I received from Leo at Kenwood said to;

1.) Turn PROC to ON (C1 menu).
2.) Hold METER (B4 menu) down while pressing PTT.

This is said to cycle the meter function between Pwr, ALC, and SWR, but it isn't working for me.  Perhaps the sequence is not propagating thru the RemoteRig interface (or I'm just doing it wrong).

Since the radio is at the remote site, I'm unable to view the meter on the radio to see if it is changing, but I do know that the meter on the RC-2000 remains on Pwr.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / SIP Errors after Update to V2.61
« on: 2012-09-12, 01:19:14 »
My system was working fine until 2 weeks ago when I updated to V2.61, then it would only work when connected within the LAN.  If I tried to connect from the WAN side, I got SIP Errors.  After much effort and pulling of hair, I was able to restore operation by entering a DNS SERVER address on the IP SETTINGS page.  I am using DHCP so this should not have been necessary.  Afterward, I erased the entry and the system continued to function.

I don't know if this is an isolated occurrence, or perhaps a bug so I pass it along to the forum.

Will RemoteRig be at Dayton this year?
If not, will there be any expert representation there?
