I just got my RRC working at the remote location, but It is difficult to turn the radio on. I have to  press the on/off button 10 to 15 times before it will tune on. Once it does turn on, it works flawlessly, no audio dropouts and the controls are very responsive. I'm using a separate power supply for the RRC as recommended. The power supply for the Yaesu box is a 35A Samlex.

Note: When I first ran the setup locally on the same router, there was no problem with the turn-on.

Any Ideas?

Problem solved. My my Linksys router only recognizes devices with addresses from XXX_XXX_XXX_100 to XXX_XXX_XXX_149. Once I changed the last number from 228 to 140, the router added the RRC_Radio to the device list.

I'm trying to get a Remotrig RCC-1258 MkII(s) working over the internet. At my home base on the LAN, the units are working flawlessly with my Yaesu FT-857. BTW, my home base has AT&T Uverse internet service. My remote location has Comcast service using a Linksys model EA6400 router. The Linksys router does not recognize the Remoterig radio unit when I plug it in. This router is currently running a RigPi and a PiStar with no problems. I'm at a loss of what to do next. I'm no IT techy!

Can the two RRC-1258MkIIs boxes be directly connected with an Ethernet crossover cable for testing purposes?
I just ordered a set, and I thought this connection might be a good first checkout.

ND9B again, I just saw on Microbit's web page they have a  model called "Remoting 1258 MkIIs FT857". Is this just a standard "RRC-1258 MkIIs" pre-modified for the FT857?  Is anyone using this with the Yaesu FT857D?

I have a Yaesu FT857D that I would like to remote. I want to verify that this rig is compatible before purchasing the RRC-1258MkIIs. If so, how's the audio quality? Do the head controls respond quicky? Does it have to be a V7 model? What  vendor do you recommend. Any advise will be appreciated.
