Hi there:

I want to modify my RC-2000 with an external encoder.

I've just ordered a 600 pulses/rotation two phases encoder. Can I use the same schematic as you?

I need some help.

Many Thanks

Ok. Thanks Mike

Yes @sm2o Mike, but you are not answering to the "power supply for mic" problem....

It's repeatly asked on this forum, but no answer from Microbit.

Thanks Jordi,

I will try next evening in mode 5 with my TS-2000.

As you said, it should be helpful for people using Kenwood and preamplified microphones.

Nothing written about this in the user manual....What a pitty

You are not minority...but seems that this topic does not interest to Microbit....

I've read a lot of posts with this problem without any solution.

I've just posted a similar request for Kenwood microphones....

Yesterday I've realized that there is 9v on AUX/MIC RJ-45 connector in my Control RRC working in Mode 8 (with RC2000 for Kenwood TS2000) and my MC-80 microphone works, but when I change to another profile in Mode 4, I don't have 9v and my MC-80 doesn't work....

Is it possible to add a checkbox (or similar) on RRC web page to enable/disable that power supply for microphones, in Mode 4?

Thanks

I've just noticed that to have 9v on MIC RJ45 connector, depends on the Mode you had selected on your RRC.

Mode 4 = No power supply for MIC

Mode 8 = 9v for MIC (with the grey jumper)

I don't know why RRC can not supply a microphone....

Any ideas or mods for this?

As I told you Jordi, in my Control RRC, I have 9v in that grey jumper, when RRC get connected with the other RRC.

I don't know why you don't have 9v at this point.

My MC-80 is working perfectly

Can you explain at wich point do you have 9v?

Is a Kenwood TS2000?

I can hardly remember a problem like this with a TS2000....

I'll try to remember

Many thanks Mitch

Hi Mitch:

Unfortunately, is not stable enough....sometimes works, but sometimes doesn't work....I don't know why.

With two different cables, even with a prolific one on COM1 (the one we have at home), is working.

Many thanks

@dj0qn Mitch, can I have your checklist?

Now we are facing this same problem with a TS-2000 via CAT COM2

Hi there:

Is is possible to control Rotator (COM1) and CAT (COM2) using the same cable conected to the Control RRC mini usb at the same time?

I hardly remember that was possible, but I'm trying to do it (for my friend @ea5zj) and doesn't work.

System is working with two separated cables on control RRC:

  • Mini USB for COM2 (CAT)
  • USB FTDI converter for COM1 (Rotator)

But would be easier and cleaner with only one usb conection for everything....

Is it possible?
