Who else uses an Alinco DXSR8 with RRC-1258 MkIIs (HW rel. 7)?
In my opinion, there are a number of problems with this combination.

I would like to try it with a 10uf electrolytic capacitor.
Is that possible in principle and in what direction (related to the polarity ...) should I connect the capacitor with the circuit?

Referring to my other forum-thread regarding the problem with the modulation, I have more and more the impression that Alinco DX-SR8 does not harmonizes properly with RemoteRig RRC-1258MkIIs.

EDIT (additional note):
I think I must make it clear, that the transmitting-mode will be terminated after releasing the PTT very well, but the reception is muted.

I found, that a setup of the Alinco DX-SR8 with the Alinco Clone Utility is not possible, when the Alinco front-unit and the Alinco main-unit are connected via RemoteRig.

Is that not possible at all, or should I adapt the configuration?

Do I need a special soldering iron? Or can I do it with a standard electronic soldering iron?   

Does this modification work regardless of the connected microphone?

The audio transfer trough the Remoterig system is extremly flat so the problem is not in the audio transfer. ...

Hmmm... That wording suggests, that the bandwidth of the voice transmission via RemoteRig is actually very narrow?

Beside some other changes of the standard configuration -- I have tried the value 82 in parameter "Codec inp HPF Hz" (Default is 163).
