I have my RRC-Control box set up for Icom CI-V. I am using an Icom hand mic on it.

If I set up a RRC-Radio box for a Yaesu (General) rig, and cable it to that radio, can I use the RRC-Control box as it is currently configured (except for changing the mode parameter to Yaesu), or do I need to change the jumpers in the RRC-Control box and use a Yaesu mic?

Thanks

I am interfacing the RRC1258 to my Flex 3000. The AF output from the radio is line level, not amplified.  The RRC manual says that the radio side should always be at "0". Is it ok to increase the input codec gain to accept the low level AF coming out of the radio? Is there a suggested level?

Thanks,

General discussion / Windows 10 microphone muted
« on: 2018-03-10, 22:59:05 »
When I used Windows 7, the internal mic in the laptop (which is what I was using) was muted until I pressed the PTT button on the RRC Micro dongle.

In Windows 10, the microphone STAYS muted, even when pushing the PTT button. I have to manually go to the settings for that microphone, and unmute it to use it.

Is there a fix for this? The mic is normally unmuted, except when I run RRC Micro.

I have an Icom 7100, and have been running with the control head connected to the Control RRC. Works fine.

I would like to be able to connect to the radio using a separate Control RRC without the control head, using Ham Radio Deluxe to control the radio, but using the Control RRC for Audio and CW paddle. If I set the jumpers on the Control RRC to use CI-V, do I have to set up the Radio RRC's jumpers to operate as CI-V, or can I leave it like it is (Configured for control head operation)?

I would like to be able to still use the control head with the other Control RRC as it is.

I was wondering if it is possible to use an external keyer with the 1274B so I can avoid the "clicky" computer audio sidetone, and use the keyer's internal sidetone instead, and control speed with the external keyer rather than software??

Thanks,

General discussion / Sidetone for paddle CW not present
« on: 2016-12-22, 20:53:21 »
I can't get the local sidetone for the paddle CW to be audible. I tried toggling the sidetone button in RRC Micro, but no luck.
I can see that the rig is being keyed, just no local sidetone.

I cannot access the web page for my RRC-Control Box. I tried updating the firmware hoping that would set it to null, but it didn't work. How can I reset that password if I can't connect to it. I don't see anything in the Microbit Setup Manager that would allow me to do that either.

General discussion / FS: RRC-Micro 1274A **Reduced**
« on: 2016-05-28, 02:25:53 »
I wanted the new ability to run paddle CW with the newer 1274B dongle......so I got one.

I have a 1274A dongle I'd like to sell. Works perfectly on SSB and Keyboard CW.

Asking $120.00 or best offer.

Thanks

What is the difference between the dongle I have, and the "new" one?

General discussion / RRC-Micro beta release CW issue
« on: 2013-11-15, 02:21:19 »
Love the new interface, all working great except for Macros. When sending longer macros, such as a 3x3 CQ, it only sends a short part of the macro and stops. When typing in the window, all is perfect.

General discussion / Keyboard CW....no way to insert pause?
« on: 2013-10-08, 04:49:02 »
I am LOVING the new RRC-Micro on my IC-7100. I have found an issue I can't resolve. I tried a CW QSO a few moments ago, and although I put a space between words on the keyboard (with the spacebar), all of the characters are run together as if there is no pause between words. I tried to find something on the website that explains the keyboard CW, but didn't find any.

Is there a way to insert a pause between words, other than waiting until the previous word is sent before typing the next word? (That way leaves TOO big a pause). A space between words on the keyboard isn't working here.

Even with this issue, I had a good qso with the other party. hi hi.

Thanks,

Hardware, Cabling, Installations / IC-7100 won't connect
« on: 2013-09-26, 05:30:34 »
I used to have an Icom 706 working on the RRC's. I now have a 7100. I have changed the wire jumpers per the manual, and changed JMP2 to open on the RRC-Control box.

When I push the power button on the control head, nothing happens.

I also have CW announce for the IP address on......on the IC-706, it played through the speaker connected to the control head.
On the 7100, I do not hear the CW IP address through the control head. If I connect a speaker to the RRC-Control, it sounds out the CW IP address.

Any suggestions?

Configuration, RRC 1258 / IC-706 audio pauses over internet
« on: 2013-08-07, 05:03:53 »
I am testing my IC706 over the net from our FLA QTH. The ping times are good at both ends, and I have videoconferenced with my XYL from here to the home QTH with no delays..... but on the 706, the audio seems to pause every 5-8 seconds. When tuning, it also seems to jitter sometimes. On SSB, it's bearable, but for CW it's very hard. I increased the jitter buffer at the Control end, as high as 15, but no help. Any suggestions?

Both ends have 20+ Mbps down/ 2 Mbps up.

Thanks

General discussion forum / Configuration for IC-7100?
« on: 2013-07-19, 01:43:26 »
I see that you can just use a CAT6 cable from the head to the RRC, but could you tell us what jumpers should be installed in the RRC? Is it the same as the IC-706?

Thanks
