General discussion forum / Re: ICOM CI-V and HRD not working
« on: 2011-09-15, 21:11:24 »
There is no connection between the serialport settings and the mic signal or mic settings, they are totally independent. So keep the setting where the CI-V works and check that you have not changed the codec input gain in the control-RRC by misstake.

Hi

It doesn't matter how the local networks are numbered. I understand you can browse the remote unit over the internet. That's good then most settings are correct. Check that you have changed the "SIP contact" in the Control-RRC after testing on local LAN, now you should enter the dyndns address or the public IP of the remote router in the "SIP contact" field. If you have it correct and it's still not connect, probably the ISP has reserved port 5060 for their own IP-telephony, try to change the SIP port in both ends to something else 5061 for example.

We have a customer who has problem to get remote control of a Yaesu G-5500 rotator with a GS-232B interface to work via the RRC-1258MkII. Is there anybody out there using that combination, who can help with settings and cabling. We do not have one at Microbit that we can test with.

Hi
Typically a red jumper problem, First check the placement and then check them with an ohm meter.

General discussion forum / Re: TS-480 + RRC without Head?
« on: 2011-08-31, 16:37:21 »
No workaround needed. TS-480 do not need the control head. But both the TTL control cable and the CAT cable must be used from RRC o Radio and the settings must be OK. HRD starts the radio.

General discussion / Re: PC Client with Yaesu Twin
« on: 2011-08-22, 22:22:39 »
Hi

Have you changed to COM0 for the CAT connection in the RRC-client ? As far as I rembember com0 should be used for Yaesu twin as the Radio-RRC is set so Com2 is in parallell with com0, the commands is then going via com0

The 9000 to 9000 issue is now fixed thanks to OH2BH Martti who brought two 9000:s to us.

Hi if you change to mode 3 it may work. In mode 4 the messages need to end with a ; to be sent. Maybe it's not the same protocol for the old ones.

There is still only one audio amplifier even in the Dual RX version. So if two speakers are used they must be of a active type with built in amplifiers. For example PC-speakers. With the jumper you can change the ordinary audio channel to be the same level as the extra channel eg. headphone levels.

Hi Mitch
As you already know we do not do change the control messages sent from the control radio to the remote radio. I can't see that there is anything we can do about it, it must be an bug inside the radio itself.

Hi

As the RRC-PC-Client only sends the data from HRD, to and from the radio without looking into the messages this will not work.
The PTT commands are sent to the radio but the PC-client will not shift to TX so the audio comes through. I know lot of people using Remoterig for PSK but they probably have the boxes and use a ptt input via USB or serialport.
