I have just configured dynamic DNS on my remote RRC, and set up a profile on my control RRC to connect to my remote K3 over the internet. My question is on my control unit profile, where do I enter the dynamic DNS host name, user name and password?

Paul,

Yes with a new USB cable I was able to get the RRC's to talk with my PC and with the RJ45 I was OK to complete the configuration. I have a K30 on order and will have a chance to set the system up later this week. Thanks for your help.

I am getting ready to set up my K3 & KPA for remote operation and will
have to modify the KPA to K3 AUX cable for remote power on/off. How have
others added the wire at pin 11 at the K3 to pin 8 at the KPA? Have you
torn apart a standard VGA cable and changed the connections, or just
made up a new custom cable?

Paul,

I can get as far as being able to set up the RRC's using the set up manager. I can not connect to them via the web to complete the set up. My internet browser finds the ip adr but can dot display the internal web page from the RRC's.

Any thoughts?

Paul,

I found the problem. The USB to mini USB cable that was supplied by the mfgr is not working. I changed it to another one that I had and have the units connected. I have other issues to solve now. I will let yu know where I stand as I get to them.
Thanks,
Howard

Paul,

I did let the program install everything, but when I go to the device manager I do not see anything listed under the RRC. I have installed the microbit config program 2 times, and the same result.

I have a new set of RRC 1258 units and I am not able to get them to connect to my PC via USB for configuration. My PC running Win 7 dose have the Net Framework 4.0 running but when I start the Microbit set up program it gives me the following messages:

Invalid virtual ser port please select another
When I hit any key, the program starts and shows device disconnected

I am not able to get it to connect or access any Microbit functions to work as they are greyed out.

What do you suggest that I do?

Thanks,
