Hello,
A friend bought a Remoterig "control" unit to try it out using my Kenwood TS2000. He already had a TM-D700 so he is able to use my radio. After helping him on the phone he can power up and listed to my radio no issues. But when he connects the mic on his side, PTT is immediately activated. We wired it same as TM-D710 minus the 8V connection. I have same exact mic he has and it works fine on my end, so wiring is not the issue. We spent hours reviewing the wiring and have concluded it must be a bad unit. We suspect the diodes in line to mic connector and jumpers must be either shorted or open. Anyone had similar issue? He will be calling to get a replacement unit since his appeared to be used as it was missing the jumpers.

Is dyndns client working for remoterig v2.35? I had an issue today and rebooted the DSL modem. When checking logs in dyndns, I noticed I don't see any updates from Remoterig client. The updates all come from a Windows 7 PC I run remotely that has Dyndns client installed as a backup. I re-enabled Dyndns client on Netgear ADSL modem and it reported the update. I have Dyndns on Remoterig set to 10 minutes intervals but nothing on Dyndns logs is being reported.

I also clicked on the status link on Remoterig info page and it reported an incorrect IP. I rebooted the remoterig, and tested again and now reports correct IP.

Here's a list of various clients I use on different sites and what they report in DynDNS logs, except Remoterig client:

Netgear DGN2200 client: Linux DDNS client 0.9 / null@null.com
Netgear V1 WNR2000 router: ez-update-3.0.10 mips-mips-linux-gnu [daemon] (by Angus Mackay)
Netgear V2 WNR2000: NETGEAR - WNR2000v2 - V1.0.0.40
Windows 7 Client: DynDNS-Client-Win32/4.1.6/Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium /IG=N (using SSL)
Remoterig:  ???

Does anyone know if the Kenwood TM-V7A can be used with Remoterig configured as a TS2000?

Hello,

I recently added tethering to my Apple IPhone, but found wireless tethering is not available for Iphone 3GS, only for IPhone 4. I connected Iphone to a laptop and used the ICS sharing in Windows with the Remoterig. Audio download was ok at 3Mbps, but uplink was unacceptable and audio was choppy. Has anyone tried this? I assume I need to work on audio settings on Remoterig. The Echolink client works great on IPhone 3GS, So I assume Remoterig should work just as well.

I'm not sure if I stay with AT&T as IPhone data plan is very expensive and I may switch to Sprint.

General discussion forum / DynDNS error code 8
« on: 2011-04-03, 16:55:53 »
Hello,

I recently had a catastrophic failure of my DynDNS client on a Netgear DGN2200 ADSL router. After April 1, 2011, it was not updating my IP addrewss to DynDNS. I suspect maybe changes in DynDNS side or a bug in the client. This caused my loss of connectivity and I had to call my dad where my Remoterig is setup to get the new IP address to recover control of my system. I disabled the Netgear client and enabled the Remoterig client as the primary update client.

Now I just saw the error code 8 show up. Is this something to be concerned with? An earlier posting suggested a failure in Remoterig DynDNS stack. Otherwise it is working. I have ver. 2.35 of firmware.

Hello,

Below is a YouTube video I prepared showing Slow Scan TV (SSTV) being used via RemoteRig. To interface computer with sound card I used a Rigblaster.

Hello. I recently purchased the Remoterig dual version, but have yet to connect my TS-2000 with dual audio. How can I tell the difference between the dual and single audio models?
I am going to get the cable to separate the audio, but how can I tell I have the correct models?

My hardware version is 006 and firmware 000.000.002.028
