Split operation with TS-590S is working very well at me.

One turn (360 degrees) = 100 pps. The 500 pps by my former encoder (HEDGE) was too much. That was the reason I changed to 100 pps. Pushing the small encoder you also can change the speed of the external encoder.

Hi Juan Carlos,

No resistor necessary.

Btw. look at this:

Hi Juan Carlos,

Some pictures for wiring the 100 pps decoder:
A goes to internal decoder (red)
B goes to internal decoder (green)
OV goes to GND (yellow)
VCC goes to + 5V (orange)
A and B you can change
The colors belongs to the wire in the RC-2000 case not at decoder.

Hello Karsten,

I also use Remoterig together with my Flex 6400. Audio and cw is way more faster than via SSDR!

Look here for some solutions on Flex Radio Community:

For ARCP-590 you first must install the virtual comport drivers.

good luck

Hi Per,

Normaly I am using TS-590 TWIN (very  comfortable). But I also can work by CAD. So the settings for HRD  is: Kenwood, TS-590, COM (look at your device manager), speed 9.600, no: CTS, DTR, RTS.

Using ARCP is a little bit tricky, hi. Speed 9.600, comport as above.

I prefer working with USB cable: seriel setting: USB comport as COM 2: yes

Hi Per,

For configuration look at RRC 1258-MKII user manual, page Kenwood general.
http://www.remoterig.com/downloads/RemoteRig_RRC1258-MkII_Users_manual.pdf

You also can use ARCP-590 vers. 2.02 freeware program by kenwood. http://www.kenwood.com/i/products/info/amateur/ts_590/arcp590_e.html
