Hi Kari,

After clicking the connect on/off button (and remote button) he should change to green and all other buttons, switches, vfo... must respond without a connect to your radio. This shows a regular installation of RS-BA1.  May be after you read "cannot open the Comport".

If TRX-Manager is working satisfactory, so RS-BA1 also should remote your rig in the same way with the settings , I told you. You also may test your radio/serial-settings with software HRD and N4PY (free for 10 days).

Hi,
I`m using RS-BA1 (also N4PY CAT) and IC-7600 for over one year now, without remote utility.
Settings on IC-7600: COM 2, CI-V adress (Radio) 7a, CI-V adress ( RS-BA1) E0, Baud 9600, remote-utility no.
First make sure RS-BA1 is running via USB-cabel to IC-7600 locally.
For the RRC`s serial setting you can use COM 2 logical parallel with COM 0. I prefer COM 0 with levelcontroller RS 232 to TTL on control and COM 0 on radiosite TTL to CI-V IC-7600. So COM 2 still is free.

Hi,

Have the same problem with ARCP-2000 since 1.5.3. Tried all modes, bauds, all versions up 1.5.4.... ARCP-480 is running very well.

Serial settings:

Control:

COM2 mode  Mode-3, char-timeout
COM2 baudrate  4800 (Rotor 1xAZ), 9600 (Rotor 2x AZ)
COM2 data bits  8
COM2 stop bits  1
COM2 parity  0 - Off
COM2 terminator (hex)  00
Use USB Com Port as COM2  No

Radio:

COM2 mode  Mode-3, char-timeout
COM2 baudrate   4800 (Rotor 1x AZ, 9600  (Rotor 2xAZ)

HI,

For CDE-Rotors e.g.  you need a special interface by ERC: http://schmidt-alba.de/eshop/product_info.php?products_id=24

HI,

For my ERC I use COM 2, Mode 3, 9600. Cabeling like: http://www.remoterig.com/old/schema/prosistel-1a.pdf. Connections on radioside is the same as Pro Sis Tel rotor.
Wiring the 3,5 mm plug look at ERC-manual: PIN 3 = TXD, PIN 2 = RXD, PIN 5+7 = GND

General discussion / Re: ARCP 2000 - Easy Rotor Control
« on: 2012-10-25, 22:35:30 »
Hey,

Does really nobody use ARCP 2000 or Easy Rotor Control together with RRC-Micro PC?

I tried all COM`s and modes, bauds. HRD is working on COM 2 and mode 4; but not ARCP 2000. Connect-button at the display is lightning yellow for 1 sec., then goes dark.

ERC works fine with my 2 x 1258MKII but not with RRc-Micro PC.

Any ideas?

Hallo,

Are the softwares ARCP 2000 for TS 2000 and Easy Rotor Control (ERC) actually working?
Perhaps someone testet.

You also can use special ICOM-program RS-BA1 with RC-28 Remote Control USB Encoder

Tks for replying.
No, it is no a RF-problem. It`s happened  during receiving. I still can receive and transmit on my last frequency, while connection is failing and RS-BA1 Software is not working.

RRC Micro Pc Client had some problems with other 3rdCAT-programs till release 1.5 where the USB/UDP drivingsystem was changed. May be the same problems exist still at the MK1258II`s?

This is a question to Microbit: is there actually a different between MK1258II and Micro Pc-Client using other 3rd party programs? And does other 3rd programs really working stable now also MK1258II as Micro PC Client?

Perhaps someone is using also ICOM software and can report successful.

Hallo,

After working  over a year with 2x MK1258-II (act. Vers. 2.60), TS-480 and Expert 1K-FA with contentment, now I changed my remote radio to IC-7600. Still using 2x MK1258-II and Expert 1K-FA. CAT-Software is RS-BA1 by ICOM.

Software RS-BA1 goes via RS232 from PC to Control-RRC COM 2 and from the Radio-RRC via RS 232 to ICOM Levelconverter CT-17. One CI-V from CT-17 goes to CI-V-jack IC 7600 and the other CI-V is connected to  DB15 1K-FA. Program mode: 1 ICOM CI-V. Serial setting COM 2: Mode 2 ICOM CI-V. ( logical parallel or  inactive is definetly not working !)

The remote-software for Expert 1K-FA is connected to COM 1 control-RRC and on the radioside from RRC COM 1 to RS 232 1K-FA, Mode 3.

(Btw: rotaryremote is via a second pair MK1258-II, using it for VHF-transceiver).

So everything works fine: tuning, audio, CW and the Expert switches the bands automaticaly via CI-V from IC-7600 depending  using RS-BA1 software.

Only one problem: from time to time connection failed. It is not a problem of my Internetbandwith. Bauderate is 9600. Changing to 4800 doesn`t solve the failing.

Maybe RS-BA1 has the same problem with MK1258 II, so as RRC Micro PC-Client before release v1.5.0?

Has somebody the same configuration and solved the problems with failing connections?
Or is it the better way  using RS-BA 1 together with RRC Micro PC-Client. Is there any failing of connection yet?

tks
Willi
