Configuration, RRC 1258 / Slow data transfer of CAT data
« Last post by K7FL on 2025-10-10, 05:37:18 »I am rebuilding my K3 based rRemoteRig station after a prolonged QRT. Rig control is fine over my LAN. … I can QSY, send CW, SSB … but I’m having issues with significant latency communicating the CAT data to/from Ham Radio Deluxe. The latency is up to10 seconds… significant.
Here is my configuration:
Hardware:
- The hardware configuration is comprised of two Windows 11 computers, one connected to the radio RRC, another at the control RRC.
- The Radio RRC is connected via the small USB port, the other end to a USB hub. The input of USB hub is connected to the radio laptop.
- The Control RRC connects from the small USB port on the control RRC to the computer USB port.
Firmware settings:
- Here are the current firmware settings related to the COM port:
- Control RRC: see attachment
- Radio RRC: see attachment
The station is set upon its own LAN and data transfer should be almost instantaneous.
Perhaps readers can find something obvious. I am at a loss to know where the problem exists. Perhaps I’ve stared at the settings too long?
Thanks
Dennis, K7FL
