I need to reset my 1216H password. Connecting the USB from the Webswitch to my computer yields a Windows message indicating that the device cannot be found. I tried a different computer with the same message. Both are Windows 11. Replaced cable … still same result. The LED near the mini usb port blinks green.

I am able to access the switch via the ip address, but the password can only be changed through the port.

Ideas?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but my remote which had worked flawlessly for 8 years has apparently developed this same issue. I flew to the remote today and confirmed the radio at the site powers down to where all seems off except for the display which is orange with no characters. It says in this condition until the main DC Supply is toggled. All functionality appears in tact when starting remotely, but when I turn off the K3/0, I cannot get the K3 at the transmitter site to connect. Again, toggling the DC power via my internet switch resets things and I can connect.

So, it sounds as if a few of you have been down this road. Given the original post was old, what have people found corrected the issue? Should I clip the diode as Mike recommended (my RRC-1258-mark III  s/n is 9885)? It’s in a tough place to access so I want to begin with a good idea of what to try.

I am helping a friend and we are trying to configure his RR boxes for K3 Twin configuration  I suspect a hardware problem.

There is no audio out on the control side.  Everything else works - it turns the radio on and off, band changes can be made, and it will key CW.  But there is no audio out from the box, no CW sidetone, and no "read back" of the IP address when powering up.  Is there a point of failure we could examine?  This is difficult without a schematic of the device.  I tried to find audio on pin 4 of the audio IC, TDA7267A, but no luck.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Hej

Jag har en RC1216H som jag använder för att styra ett Expert 1.3kFA. Det funkar bra.
Det kommer dock ett obehagligt "surr" från 1216 ibland, och även om PA:t inte är påslaget.
Det låter lite som när en husfluga surrar mot fönstret. Någon ide vad det kan vara och om
det ev är något fel? (Det har varit så sen den var helt ny.)

PROBLEM RESOLVED
In the process of removing a bunch of 12V wall warts and switching to a distribution panel to feed all that equipment, the power was shut off to the AS-1289, the modem, the router and an expansion switch for about an hour.  When everything was powered back up, I could connect to the AS-1289 antenna switch again.
