Allmänt diskussionsforum / Fördröjd broms på rotor
« Last post by SM3LGO on 2025-07-29, 22:18:43 »
Hej!

« Last post by joel0920 on 2025-07-29, 12:30:26 »

Jag har
Product   1216H WebSwitch
Model   HOME Extended
Software   4.93
Hardware   3
Bootloader   1.13
Build   Mar 17 2022 07:00:31
S/N   3409
PID   603

med 3 st DS1820 B
och 1 st 1820 S

B varianten verkar fungera ok men S ger mig fel temperatur

When using CW you should connect the Key or Paddles to the Remotrig box, not to the IC-7100 Control panel, check the Remoterig manual. But if the red LED on the mic jack comes on it indicates that you have a bad internet connection with interuptions. You have to find the reason for that first. 14/3 MBit is much more than needed so it's not the problem. You can try to move the control side equipment to another place to find out if the problem is in the control end internet connection or in the radio end internet connection.

General discussion forum / erratic CW transmitting
« Last post by KA3DCO on 2025-07-12, 18:55:05 »
I have had success with IC-7100 and RRC 1258 for a bit over 8 years in all modes, including FLDIGI, WSJTX operation. I have used CW successfully but for past year it transmits erratically when I key. At times it works perfectly. I am using a straight key and connected to the CW jack on the rear of the IC-7100 control head. My internet speed is a bit slow. I am wondering if this is my problem, my speed being no more than 14 mbps down and 3.0 up. I am connected on both ends via ethernet cable and do have a static IP. The red LED on RRC control unit comes on frequently.

I have been very much pleased with the RRC setup, it has made all the difference in the world and brought me tons of pleasure being able to operated from my condo.

Further testing revealed an issue with IP address assignment to the Control box that has occurred recently both at home and when at the remote site.

The Control box is configured to use DHCP. I exported its settings to HTML and noticed that under the Info section, the Control box IP address (and those for the netmask, DNS server and gateway) is consistent with the local network IP address range. The Microbit Settings Manager also shows the "correct" IP address after engaging Find Devices. However, the IP address under Settings is inconsistent with the local network.

I reconfigured the Control box by going into IP Settings, disabling DHCP and answering Yes to the pop-up query "Do you want to use the network parameters assigned by DHCP?" The Control box then receives correct IP addresses for itself, the Netmask, Gateway, and DNS server. Upon reboot, the device retains the correct IP address assignments. I then re-enable DHCP. After these changes, the system works fine, and I don't need to reboot the Radio box.

I never remember an issue with assignment of the IP address to the Control box. Any idea what might be causing this?

The only system change is a switch to fiber with a new modem that connects to my Asus router at the remote site. I am using a Vonets wifi in bridge mode to connect the Control box to the local network.

Many thanks for any ideas!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PREVIOUS ISSUE DESCRIPTION
I have been using RemoteRig with a TS-480 successfully for several years. Recently, I've had issues connecting to the remote station. The radio's remote head lights up and displays the frequency, but often there either is no audio or display of power out, or I get audio but changes to frequency and power output displays are delayed. The Control box status page shows connected when I turn the radio on.
When I try to turn off the radio, sometimes the display remains lit, other times the display turns off, but I hear the 3 ascending tones indicating an error. However, the Control box status indicates no SIP or other errors. Auto connect is set to No.
The Radio box is not accessible via a web browser when this issue arises, so I cannot check its status or reboot through that UI. I have to cycle the power outlet it's plugged into to reboot it. Then I can access the Radio box through a web browser, and the radio turns on at the Control end and operates properly.
The only thing that has changed is fiber to the remote location to replace DSL. The Radio box uses a fixed IP address, and the router has been configured to disable SIP ALG.
Why do I need to reboot the Radio box before each operating session? Any ideas as to what may be causing this or other possible solutions to try are much appreciated.
When I tried to connect the 1258 MkII I saw this message:
">>> NETWORK DISCONNETED"
"No devices found"
This is a local network with both computers connected to the local network using a switch. I've already set both IP addresses to fixed.
Hi
The red straps are made of solid wire 0,28 mm2 diameter 0.6 mm (AWG 23) available from many sources for example Farnell art no: 1219337
Hardware, Cabling, Installations / replacement jumper wires
« Last post by nk8o on 2025-07-08, 01:29:33 »
I have a pair of remote rig boxes that came without any jumper wires.  I have confirmed that the basic functions of RR work, by sending CW over the internet and using the RR boxes for audio and keying.
What can be used for replacement jumper wire to configure these boxes to be fully functional with a K3 K3/0 combination?  I need to source this wire in the USA.  I haven't had much luck to date.  Suggestions?
Many thanks,
Hi, No there is no compatible wifi module available. If there had been we would have implemented it
