Hi
Yes check the manual. You need a cable from the Radio-RRC to the IC-7100 which should be set to use straight Key. With a standard 3.5 mm stereo cable OUT2 should be set to Keyer in the Radio-RRC

General discussion forum / IC-7100 CW via Remoterig
« Last post by UR5FLN on 2025-05-02, 00:27:27 »
Hello Gents,
I use IC-7100 many years with Remoterig and it worked perfect, but now I need to use CW with that setup. If I connect key to IC-7100 like normally via KEY socket on back of "Head" there is so frustrating delay, and work in CW is not possible. When I connect manipulator to radio control box it is producing only dots and radio never go to TX. I am using "Straight" (Old school bug) manipulator. Is it necesary to connect cable on a radio side direct from Radio Control Box to TRX? if I want to setup CW via remoterig boxes? Setup via web interface done both sides radio and remote but it does not work.
Thanks for any ideas.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / Ethernet connection dead
« Last post by Mel KJ9C on 2025-04-28, 19:13:10 »
Radio RRC1258MkII went down 2 weeks ago. Troubleshooting via Teamviewer could not help.
Now at the radio site 1600 miles from control site. USB connection shows all is OK using Microbit setup interface to PC. Yellow/red lights are off, front green light is blinking slowly, Ethernet light on rear is steady yellow awaiting connection. LAN settings all agree (IP, subnet mask, etc) but the network does not see the RRC and therefore won't connect.
What to try next?

Configuration, Webswitch 1216H / Re: Webswitch 1216H Corrupted Profile

I found a way to remove the corrupted profile. I could not find a way to delete the corrupted profile, but I found an alternative. Using Microbit Setup Manager, connect to the switch using USB. Then copy a known good profile over the bad profile. This worked. Afterwards, edit the copied profile.

Configuration, Webswitch 1216H / Webswitch 1216H Corrupted Profile
« Last post by K0LO on 2025-04-10, 17:35:03 »
Is there any way to completely remove a corrupted profile from a WebSwitch 1216H? If you look at my attachment "Webswitch-1216H-settings.txt" you can see a list of Relays that goes in this sequence: Relay 1,2,3,4,5,6,6,7,8,9,10. There should only be relays 1 - 5. If you view my other attachment "Corrupted Profile.png" you can see another example of the corruption.

The other profiles work correctly, but I don't want remote users to accidentally select this profile. I've tried connecting via USB and using the Microbit Setup Manager but I can't seem to delete this rogue profile. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

General discussion forum / Re: Kenwood TS-480 PTT self-triggers

Hej, en kort uppföljning:

Jag har nu bytt enligt följande:

1. Jag har ändrat RRC-control config "Use USB port as COM2" till "No".
2. Istället för att köra USB mellan PC och RRC-control så kör jag istället
COM2 via en USB-till-seriell omvandlare mellan PC:ns USB port och RRC:ns
   "riktiga" COM2 port.

Då funkar det OK!

Hej Micke

Tack för tipset! Men nej, "USB as PTT" (och även "USB as CW") är "disabled".

Hello

I have a Remoterig setup with a Kenwood TS-480, and eveything works prefectly except that PTT is activated after about 2 minutes, no matter what I do.

I am controling the TS-480 via USB-to-RRC1258 on the control side and COM2-to-TS480 on the radio side (COM2 setup as per the manual).

When I connect the USB cable between the RRC1258 control unit and the PC, the TS-480 will always go into TX after about 2 minutes. It does not matter if I have any software running on the PC, it seems to be inserting the USB connector that is the source of the PTT trigger (but "delayed" by 2 minutes). Before the PTT triggers, i.e. during the first 2 minutes, CAT control and PTT via WSJT-X works perfectly.

Also, it does not matter if I on the radio side pull out the cables for MIC, COM2 and CW keying, the PTT is still always triggered after 2 minutes. So the only explanation is that something via the TTL/panel connector triggers the PTT at the radio side.

Any suggestions?
