I'm sure this problem is caused by your internet connections. Default settings should work. Start from testing both units on the same LAN to verify hardware, cables and basic settings.

Dear friends,
Today I was busy with setup my RemoteRig with TS-480 SAT and faced issue - everything seems to be OK, I was able to start my Kenwood through remoterig boxes, but only issue no RX/TX sound. I would say that may be in 5 % cases it have started normally with sound both ways. I have 2 pairs of RemoteRig and replaced and setup each side, but result is the same. So this is not hardware issue. Did somebody fight with same? I use on the radio side 4G router with wireguard connection to droplet with external fixed IP with all ports forwarded. Strange thing is that it's sometimes working, sometimes not. All settings according to manual, I played with codecs bandwidth, levels, but still no success. Thanks for any ideas, advices.

A similar and possibly related problem: I cannot enable the Memory integrity feature since ftvspenum.sys and a couple of other drivers from the same vendor are said to be incompatible with Windows 11.

I suppose deleting the drivers could in my case let me enable Win 11 Memory integrity. And in your case maybe disabling Memory integrity could rid you of those error messages.

Though I wouldn't say that I recommend any of those options.

Configuration, RRC 1258 / conection FTDX-3000 to Radio RRC

Hello everyone.
I want to connect an FTDX-3000 to the RRC (1258 MkII). If I connect the RRC via an RS-232 terminal to the CAT port on the radio, will I lose the ability to use HRD-type CAT software? Can the CAT connection to the PC be made later via a virtual COM port?

Uppdatering: jag kopplade in den analoga fördröjningen från rotorboxen parallellt över reläerna på 1216L och det fungerar utmärkt, nu har jag ca 5 sek fördröjning på bromsen. "Friskt kopplat, hälften brunnet!" som man säger.

Hej!

Jag har installerat RCU1216L till webswitch och fått det att fungera med en Hy Gain HDR300. Efter vad jag kunnat läsa mig till skall det vara "ett par" sekunders fördröjning innan bromsen slår till. På min enhet är det dock fråga om bråkdelar av en sekund, vilket är på tok för kort för en större antenn. (Jag kan höra att reläerna klickar efter varandra, men det är inte mer än en ca halv sekund emellan.)

Jag har förstått att det inte går att ställa in fördröjningen, så jag undrar om det helt enkelt kan vara något fel på min 1216L ?
Allt annat verkar OK.

Hur fungerar reläerna i 1216L, är det vanlig enkel slutande/brytande funktion, eller växlar det mellan "spänning på" och "jord" ?
Jag funderar på om det skulle gå att koppla in den analoga fördröjningskretsen som satt i den gamla rotorboxen ?
Den skulle i så fall ligga i parallell med bromsreläet på 1216L, men då krävs att det reläet har vanlig enkel slutande/brytande funktion och inte jordar.

B varianten verkar fungera ok men S ger mig fel temperatur
har satt den i Frysen och den visar ca 1 plusgrad
borde visa 18-20 minus..

såg att detta skulle ha fixats i en tidigare 1.20 firmware, så det borde vara fixat i min 4.93
så jag tänkte uppdatera men det fungerade inte, säger att det är fel version..
hittar ingen firmware för Home "extended"? är det en speciell version på dessa?

When using CW you should connect the Key or Paddles to the Remotrig box, not to the IC-7100 Control panel, check the Remoterig manual. But if the red LED on the mic jack comes on it indicates that you have a bad internet connection with interuptions. You have to find the reason for that first. 14/3 MBit is much more than needed so it's not the problem. You can try to move the control side equipment to another place to find out if the problem is in the control end internet connection or in the radio end internet connection.

I have had success with IC-7100 and RRC 1258 for a bit over 8 years in all modes, including FLDIGI, WSJTX operation. I have used CW successfully but for past year it transmits erratically when I key. At times it works perfectly. I am using a straight key and connected to the CW jack on the rear of the IC-7100 control head. My internet speed is a bit slow. I am wondering if this is my problem, my speed being no more than 14 mbps down and 3.0 up. I am connected on both ends via ethernet cable and do have a static IP. The red LED on RRC control unit comes on frequently.

I have been very much pleased with the RRC setup, it has made all the difference in the world and brought me tons of pleasure being able to operated from my condo.
