TS480 - Power button gives TONE and no display
« on: 2013-04-05, 02:07:38 »
using standard 192.168.0.227 for Control and 228 for Radio
jumper configuration #2 (Old model 480)
modular mic into Control RRC
long RJ-11 on both Control and Radio RRC (don't have the short cables)
checked pin-outs on both cables - both are straight-thru
and both work, if connecting radio to control head direct (bypass RRC)

can get to both Webservers at 227 and 228 without issue
Power button doesn't turn-on display and no SIP connect indication..
have checked the DIP strapping on both units, along with DVM for continuity - OK

any ideas..?

Hi if you get the error tones the RRC understand that you want to connect but the Control RRC can not get in contact with the Radio-RRC. Then it's a seetings issue. First check the SIP-contact settings. You can email me the "exported settings html" files so I can look over them.

It may be better for you first to go carefully through the network settings
before sending anything to support. I can send you my networking checklist
that walks you through setting this up correctly. Drop me a short mail to
dj0qn (at) darc.de and I will send it to you.

found the problem..
the Radio RRC appeared to be a CONTROL-RRC after the upgrade to 2.68. Followed the procedure to recover the Radio-RRC personality and it came right up into the proper state. SIP Connection was immediate.

Also tested successfully with RRC-Micro and now have the entire configuration working thru the Firewall using Control from an LTE/Cell connection.

Both Control Panel and Micro operation - very cool..!!
